That shouldn't be necessary, just closing Legacy down should be sufficient to free up any memory that may cause problems. But, as you say, Windows needs an occasional rest, and shutting down prevents a lot of problems. Me, I shut down as I go to bed. Can't risk a nocturnal lightning strike taking everything out - or a surge that sometimes happens following a power cut. -- Regards, Mike Fry Johannesburg Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/legacyusergroup@legacyusers.com/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/legacyusergroup@legacyfamilytree.com/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp Follow Legacy on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/LegacyFamilyTree) and on our blog (http://news.LegacyFamilyTree.com).
