Ron,
Weard.  I changed the spouse to preferred and it displayed with the correct 
surname.

Can you try the same to see whether switching preferences on the spouse 
rectifies the problem?

Let me know what happens and I will report it as a bug.

I get the same result in that the name of the partner is the first on the list 
(he has had 4 to date!). However, I do not think it is relating to the 
preferred setting as I have his current partner (the 4th) set as the preferred.

Mike, bothe marrieages are in the correct order.  The problem appears to be 
that the Knight marriage was set to preferred???
I though that preferred was to do with how you prgress through a pedegree tree 
and how you define your direct line.  The surname by which a married woman is 
known should be by latest marriage date?
I think  this is a bug!
