Once again, some of you are forgetting that the section on the Individual's form is Events/Facts. The census itself wasn't an event for the person, but the person's being recorded on the census is a FACT. Likewise, being mentioned in a newspaper article is a FACT, having an obituary published is a FACT.
Whether you choose to record a Census in that section or not is a personal choice.
