I am new to the NFS part of Legacy but I would compare this to getting a leaf of Ancestry except your tree is on your computer instead of on NFS. If Legacy finds a match for a person on NFS it shows a red arrow pointing to the left instead of a leaf. If you have information that NFS does not have you get a red arrow pointing to the right. Your data is not sent to NFS. When you process the matches the arrows turn green. This may be an over simplification but may help you.

I did not get one response! Does anybody know anything about it? If not, can support help me out? I have always had such great responses when I have asked questions in the past. Thanks. _____ From: Jill King <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Monday, March 19, 2012 7:24 AM Subject: [LegacyUG] Auto Match in Legacy/Family Search Can any one tell me exactly what the Auto Match button does (or doesn't do)? in Legacy/Family Search? Since I cannot choose to do just 5 or 10 names, I am concerned about doing my whole file without knowing what the consequences might be. I can't find any documentation anywhere on the Legacy Family Tree website! Thanks.
