Jerry, Your description is an accurate summary as to how the Export Options work. My comment was a reply to a post by Arnold and related only to his specific question, which details the options given in your post, after GEDCOM is first selected.

I had to click on: Export to: GEDCOM Produce File For: Legacy (even though I was not really producing the GEDCOM for Legacy) because if I clicked on GEDCOM for both menu selections, when my standard GEDCOM was created and transferred to my website using TNG, longitudes and latitudes were NOT transferred. But when I clicked on GEDCOM, then produce file for Legacy, the transfer to my TNG website did the longitude and latitude transfers just fine. That's what I mean by selecting a "Legacy GEDCOM," not a "standard" GEDCOM, at least for certain objectives. Confusing, I'm sure - but that's how it worked for me. --Jerry On Fri, Mar 30, 2012 at 7:29 PM, Ron Ferguson <[email protected]> wrote: Arnold, I don't think that you can change the default which is set to Legacy, as you report.
