My suggestion is to use something similar to a language pronunciation
giude.  Just use two columns instead of three


English                French                        Pronunciation
Here/there           Ici/là-bas                    ee-see/lah-bah
Left/right              à gauche/à droite     ah gohsh/ah drwaht
Straight ahead   Tout droit                    too drwah
I’m American     Je suis américain       jhe swee a-may-ree-kehn

The base idea being to spellout the sounds as closely as possible
using phonetics.  Thus, horse becomes hors - no e because you cannot
hear it.

Decker becomes DEK -ER
