My suggestion is to use something similar to a language pronunciation giude. Just use two columns instead of three English French Pronunciation Here/there Ici/là-bas ee-see/lah-bah Left/right à gauche/à droite ah gohsh/ah drwaht Straight ahead Tout droit too drwah I’m American Je suis américain jhe swee a-may-ree-kehn The base idea being to spellout the sounds as closely as possible using phonetics. Thus, horse becomes hors - no e because you cannot hear it. Decker becomes DEK -ER Hope this helps Wes Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp Follow Legacy on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/LegacyFamilyTree) and on our blog (http://news.LegacyFamilyTree.com).
