Thanks, Jenny. I must not have been very clear what I was looking for, but you
discerned what I meant.

I am looking for a place to put stuff like this - information relevant to the
whole database. So far the only solution I've found has been to mess with the
To-Do List. For instance, there are several posters on Gen-Med who use only
initials; I have their real names. Now I am trying to make pronunciation
lists. I was looking for a place to put this general but important information.

Does Legacy have such a place, or should I make a suggestion?

I would use the Individual's General Notes and/or use Location Notes.

It rather depends on how you plan to pass on your information. If you are
going to give your relatives copies of your family file they will have access
to Location Notes, but if you are just going to send Reports it would be better
to use General Notes.

You could say something like "So-and-so's name was pronounced .... The town
where he was living in 1900, Somewhere, is pronounced ...."

Just how you specify the pronunciation - examples with common words or phonetic
spelling is your choice.

(You could also attach sound files!)
