I maintain an MS Access database at work and it does indeed have
auto-complete imbedded. It speeds things up greatly. Suppose you have
two locations with the same name in different states and the incorrect
one shows up. You can highlight everything after the last correct
letter and type the next correct letter and have the entire field filled
in correctly with a single keystroke. As has been mentioned, you must
be paying attention to what you are doing. As with everything else in
life, carelessness and inattention can result in errors. That is what
taking personal responsibility is about. In the end, you are
responsible for what you put in your database.
