Dick,

I didn’t, I uploaded my direct line ancestors in one go (I tagged them using
advanced tagging). On exporting you can select the option to make the living
invisible. Or you can set them as Private before exporting, and “unprivate”
them when you have done.

Subject: [LegacyUG] Best way to create GEDCOM with no living people data?

I will be uploading a GEDCOM to FTDNA and want to be absolutely sure that no
data on living people is included. No names, no dates, no locations.

Would it make sense to split my 20K + Legacy database into four groups and then
make 4 GEDCOMs? If so, I would make a seperate GEDCOM for each of my four
grandparents.

All suggestions appreciated.
Thanks.
