I don't know if this is what's called lumping or splitting. I do, as examples:
Illinois, Mercer, Millerburg: 1870 U.S. Federal Census or England, Surrey, Clapham, St. James Parish: 1881 England Census The transcription goes into 'actual Source text' under Source Detail, as well as into the Event notes for each person in the census. If I'm interested in looking at the actual file, I type the person's name into Search on Windows7, and it appears in a nano-second.
