Oh Legacy programmer type people Are there any plans in the works to allow us to change from one sourcewriter template to another even after we have several citations already done?
For example, I want to change all of my census sources from the online images template to the microfilm template. If I do this, it will make all of my sources more in line with ESM first book and not the 2nd. I prefer her first book because the sources are more simplified and easier to read. Here is the difference: NEW 1930 U.S. census, Jefferson County, Georgia, population schedule, Bartow, enumeration district (ED) 16, sheet 3A, p. 211 [stamped], dwelling 52, family 52, Elisha Dukes household; digital images, Ancestry (www.ancestry.com : accessed 27 Jun 2011); citing National Archives and Records Administration microfilm T626, roll 371. OLD 1930 U.S. census, Jefferson County, Georgia, population schedule, Bartow, enumeration district (ED) 16, sheet 3A, p. 211 [stamped], dwelling 52, family 52, Elisha Dukes household; National Archives and Records Administration microfilm T626, roll 371. I CAN do this with sourcewriter but I have to use a different template. I want to cut out all of the Ancestry.com info. With the info provided, anyone can look up this census page on FamilySearch, Ancestry.com, Heritage Quest etc. It doesn't matter. The point is to give the reader the info they need to find the source and this old citation is sufficient for that and it cuts out the fluff. I tried just deleting the Ancestry.com portion of the citation but that doesn't work because sourcewriter will not allow me to delete the default entry "digital images." (you CAN delete it but as soon as you save it, it pops right back in). This forces me to use a different template. I hope all of this makes sense.
