I too, have one Source for each Census year for each country in the UK, but because of the way the SW templates are set up, I have one for each county each year for the US. I suppose it would be quite feasible to put the State and County along with the City in the Jurisdiction City field in Source Detail if you wanted to take lumping to the extreme. Or you could adopt a compromise position and have a Master Source for each State each year and just move County to the Detail. Re the matter of using Access, I don't think it would be worth buying it just to tinker with Legacy occasionally, unless you are *really* unhappy with out-of-the-box Legacy.
