Brian, To avoid printing complications, may I suggest you write all Umlauts with an "e" which is standard practice worldwide. Thus ae = ä / oe = ö / ue = ü. You should also abbreviate the 16 German states. Baden-Wuerttemberg = BW and Germany = DE. Thus your location should read ... Muenzesheim, BW, DE. That's the way how I handle all my German contacts. For casual correspondence, you could always go the Umlaut route. "AllChars for Windows" is a nifty little program which helps you handle special characters and symbols.
