Thanks Ron, I'm trying to find all individuals in my data base, alive in Munzesheim in say 1839. Since I create an Event to record Birth, death and marriages, and I have those dates for everybody in Munzesheim, I am searching for individuals for, "Event Place"contains - Munzesheim, that list I search for, "Death Date" before - 1840. I don't think I'm searching correctly. I cant be the first to attempt to search for individuals in a given place in a given year, wondering how others do their search. Brian
