Russ, I agree, but my intention was to keep it simple. To go a little further we should also be considering the HTML5 spec.!
However, for use with Legacy, which has the HTML Doc Type, one will not go wrong by avoiding any character which is used in any type of coding, hence my general rule of only using alpha-numeric, underscores and hyphens. BTW. Legacy Pedigree pages do not display properly with XHTML Doc Type because of the bugs in the Legacy scripts.
