Peggy,

If you use Dropbox and have files with the same name on both machines then the 
latest will be used by both machines.

If you really wish to keep them separate, one thing which you may like to 
consider is only  having your Legacy generated back ups in Dropbox. These will, 
of course be unique because they contain the date and time in their file name. 
If, however, you wished to be more specific then there is no reason for not 
putting, say, #1 before the PC file name and #2 before that of the laptop.

You will, of course have to use Restore to put them into Legacy, and save with 
the appropriate. *.fdb file name, overwriting the old version.
