I knew that it wasn't possible, but I thought that Legacy was just a
little "behind the times." Another small graphical program I use just
to do quick look-ups, is similar, but development on that stopped
some years ago.  Here in Australia, a law allowing same-sex marriages
didn't get through Parliament, but Victoria allows them to register,
without legal consequences, rather like de factos. Tasmania has been
threatening to "go it alone."

(That is going to become another issue: property disputes between
same-sex de factos.  Will they have to rely on the general law of
property, as heterosexual de factos did to begin with?  But here isn't
the place to discuss general questions.)

I don't know about Legacy's policy, but any union allowed by the law
of the place should be capable of being recorded.  Personally, I have
been married to the same woman for over 40 years, and have no desire to
be different.
