Did you check the spouse icon to see if it is lit up?  Did you go into that 
icon to see if an spouse Unknown is listed there?  It is possible that you 
clicked on the spouse's box at some point and closed it without entering info.  
Or you might have opened a box to enter a child accidentally which could have 
put a default possible husband in the icon area without listing the person in 
the spouse box.  Either way, by going into the spouse icon, you can see if 
someone is there and delete that spouse to light up the box you want to check.
