You will have to remember to update Ancestry data each time you make a change to your Legacy data. There is no automatic sync between Legacy Family Tree and Ancestry. You cannot even use a GEDCOM from Legacy for the people you changed to update your existing Ancestry Tree since Ancestry makes a new tree for every GEDCOM uploaded to their site.
