Viewing of half-siblings has been in Legacy for a long time. It was present as early as Legacy 4.0 (I do not have any earlier versions installed now).
On family view turn this on by right clicking on any child, select view, show 1/2 kids To show half-siblings in the sibling list Click on the sibling icon to open the sibling list There is a check box in the lower left to turn on half-siblings.
