I want to be able to dump my reports into a Microsoft Word document that I can
edit by using styles to get consistent formatting of text and footnotes and
using the person sequencing technique described by Alvy Ray Smith in
Genealogical Writing in the 21st Century .

I want to achieve the ability to renumber individuals because it want to
continue only male lines; condensing information on female lines in the child
report under an individual and that is not a choice available for register or
modified register numbering. I am willing to go through the tedious task of
bookmarking and sequencing to make this happen.

I want to be able to edit the text as much as I want, deleting and inserting
footnotes as I edit, remove condense and add data. When I save a report in rtf
then open it in Word, I can see the formatting used and think I should be able
to replace it with styles, but I am struggling to make this work. I know that
this too will be tedious, but I think it would be easier to edit than type
anew, especially when it comes to adding footnotes.

Has anyone accomplished this? Or determined that it is not possible? I welcome
advice.
