Is there a way to highlight a commonly used Christian name? For example: birth name is John Edward Frederick Smith.
He is referred to as Frederick Smith in marriage record, census and/or death notice. Perhaps to distinguish him from his father John Edward Frederick Smith, called John. Something that would be apparent: John Edward /Frederick/ Smith. John Edward *Frederick* Smith.
