Guy, Sounds like the cut and paste process is including all the hidden formatting codes from Word or Wordpad.
Try to paste the text into the "Notepad" program first. That should remove any formatting codes. Then copy the text from the notepad to Legacy and see if that solves your problem. Unfortunately, I am not experienced enough to know how to fix the process so that you wouldn't need that extra step.
