Are we to understand that you are doing *exactly* the same thing on your laptop (which works) as on your pc (which doesn't)? In other words, are you copying the same text from the same place and pasting it into the same field in Legacy? If the answer is "yes", it suggests there is a problem with the Legacy database on your pc, so I would suggest that firstly you backup your database and then run File Maintenance>Check/Repair from the File menu. If the answer is "no", please tell us what you are doing differently.
