Legacy never inadvertently downloads information. When using the data sharing in the interface to LDS the user has to manually click on a button in the display to download any information, be it a single event for someone or adding a new person. Of course when you add a new person the data on the LDS website for that person may have included those Note entries this thread started about if they were part of the individual data on the LDS website.
Turning on LDS options does not share anything. It only turns on the display of data fields for special LDS related events. The entry of the data in those fields however is either manual entry by the user or manually clicking on a button in the LFS to FT interface to transfer the data from the LDS web site to the user's file. In any event those special LDS events do not have notes associated with them so that would not explain the note entries.
