I'm thinking maybe I should uninstall and reinstall under Program Files now
after seeing this and other posts. I vaguely remember a problem I was having
years ago with Legacy7 and somebody said just install it to the root directory.

I don't use UAC. It's turned off because it's annoying. I'm running Windows 7
Home Premium 64bit.

Thanks for the correction.

The reason Millennia said to install Legacy 7.5 and earlier in the root of the
C: drive, was to get around the security facilities that Microsoft introduced
in Vista. Whoever said that it would run better, doesn't know what they're
talking about. It's a fallacy that installing the program in the root of the C:
drive will make it run better. All this does is circumvent UAC that is present
on Vista and later and make it easier for the program directory to be corrupted.
Anything installed below C:\Program Files needs administrative rights before it
can be tampered with.
