You haven't said how you relinked or pointed the Media to the correct drive.

Legacy 8 stores the media location slightly
differently to how its been done in the past.

You may need to use the Media Relinker Tool on
the Tools Ribbon to get the location written properly in Legacy 8 format.

Some of the ways to change media location in L7.5
and earlier still work but the Media Relinker
does a slightly different job. It is also easy
for people who aren't very computer literate to
use. But you sound as if you really know your way
around a computer and the program.
