Hi Moe,

There is no way to mark 2 children in a family as preferred.

Check out the Options to turn on the preferred child symbol.
Options > Customise 3.8

At the same option also turn on indicate direct line children in bold.

Then only one with have the asterisk but both will be bolded if you
set your direct line (Tools Ribbon)

Remember you can set direct line from all sorts of people in your
file to set the preferred child in those branches but always come
back and set your own again so that yours takes precedence when they cross.
