Bill, Copying an existing source and detail to the Source Clipboard is only one way to populate the Source Clipboard and not the major way.
Open the Source Clipboard using the triangle and use the link to choose your Master Source then fill in the Detail then Save. Then it is ready to be applied to whatever fields you want and as many people as appropriate. If different people require different details, set it to prompt for detail each time. I have this on by default as I prefer to check that I'm adding the source I think I am.
