John, All I can say is 'Wow!' You have a very complex operation going with all your family files. Thank you very much for the time you have taken to share with me your strategy for Legacy folders. In my case, I have a SSD (labeled C:) where by default the Win7 OS and all program files are stored. All data files are then stored by default on the usual "rotating" disk drive (labeled D:). Legacy 8 is stored on the C: drive in a folder named "Program Files (x86)". I understand this folder is for 32-bit systems, which is what Legacy is. You have provided valuable information about the Legacy Family Tree folder being hard-coded to being located under My Documents, which is on my D: drive. In order to follow your strategy, I suppose I could partition my D: drive to create an E: drive, and then move the entire My Documents folder there.
