The file you're working on in Legacy needs to be on the computer. Legacy can't find files on the internet.
I have Dropbox which places a Dropbox folder on the computer, and work on the file in the folder, which then syncs with the file on the server. I can access my file that way on both my desktop and laptop and can share the folder with anyone I want to. Everyone needs to make sure they keep Legacy updated and they all have the same build number. Also we don't recommend that Legacy be used by more than one person at a time - it's not a multi-user program. Have you looked at IntelliShare for sharing research tasks? Details are in the Help file for Legacy and on the Tips page on our website.
