Duane: Your idea is great, but you are about to create all kinds of problems - the technology is not quite ready for what you want to do.
The first problem you may not be aware of is you cannot / do not try / to open the same Legacy file/database at the same time using 2 different computers. You need a Networked version of Legacy, which doesn't exit. The basic problem is two people cannot be editing the same record or changing the database at the same time. Record locking is required in order to keep the database from being corrupted. To share the file is fine, but each user will need to download the Legacy DB that you placed on Google drive to their own computer. they can then install Legacy on their own computer and look / edit / change your database file on their computer. All the changes will be on their computer. They would need to upload their changed file back to a Cloud server (Google Drive or elsewhere). This method does not provide any syncing of the file which I think you are trying to do. Dropbox will do the syncing if everyone uses the say ID & PW (Not recommended), and you still have the problem that only 1 computer can access / change the file in DropBox at the same time. Legacy does offer merging of databases. You could merge multiple people's databases. This is a complicated process you are trying to do. Good idea, but hard to implement with today's technology.
