The double click has been one of the best actions to use. The single click is 
stripped of a lot of uses that the double click has.
Besides, I use a Windows machine and not a Mac.

And now there are the "Touch Screens" which opens another bucket of worms.

        Not here.  First thing I always do with a Windows OS is turn off the 
dam double-click.
