The problem isn't so much where I deliberately click. It is that while dragging my index finger across the touchpad (moving the cursor) I can all to easily get a spurious tap (click). If the single click did not open the Individual Information form it would not be so maddening. It is much less likely to accidentally double tap. I just wish it would work the standard way it does in most Windows programs. Larry Lee [email protected] On Fri, Dec 20, 2013 at 5:56 PM, Kirsty M. I was having trouble at first with trying to change focus and instead ending up in individual edit mode. Once I started training myself to click in the name area of the family view to change focus (instead of the vital statistics area), I stopped having the problem of ending up in individual edit when I wasn’t intending to do so. cheers, Kirsty Haining Seattle, Washington J From: Larry Lee [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Thursday, December 19, 2013 4:25 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [LegacyUG] Clicking - Single & Double David, You are correct. There is no need to click a highlighted person a second time. My problem with the touchpad is it very easy to accidentally open the Ind. View. A double click/tap would prevent this from accidentally happening unless I am falling asleep at night then all bets are off as to what might happen.
