Those instructions you point to show how to change the time but not how
to change the format for dates. In my Windows 7 though I clicked on the
Change Calendar Settings link in step 4 of the instructions. Windows 7
opened the screen where I could modify the date formats. I suspect that
Windows 8 will do the same.
