Perhaps it looks "so much better" just because there is a lot less information in a GRO Index! For an Australian Death Index I have "Department of Attorney General and Justice NSW, "Deaths (1788-1981)," database, New South Wales Registry of Births, Deaths & Marriages (http://www.bdm.nsw.gov.au : accessed 02 September 2012), entry for Samuel Arthur Molyneux, 1854; registration number 11888/1954." which is pretty much the same format as for a FreeBMD entry. The additional information is included in the Citation Text: Registration Number: 11888/1954 Last Name: Molyneux Given Name(s): Samuel Arthur Father's Given Names(s): Richard Mother's Give Name(s): Elanor District: Redfern which is where I think it belongs. That corresponds with most of my Source Citations, where I include a transcription of the Source I am citing in the Citation Text (and also add an image where appropriate.) (Just as an aside, with that much information in an Index, I wonder what more is provided on a Certificate!) -- Jenny M Benson Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp Follow Legacy on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/LegacyFamilyTree) and on our blog (http://news.LegacyFamilyTree.com).
