My issue is with Pedigree View, starting with myself and working back in my maternal line. Pedigree view is fine until I select my maternal great grandmother. I can’t get beyond her BUT when I print the Pedigree Chart everything is fine and in order. I worked with Michele/Support on this issue and cleaned up a lot of little things, just not this issue. Because I can run Legacy 8 with the latest update on my office laptop, we are thinking that perhaps I have a setting on my personal laptop causing this glitch. The information below is the last email conversation with Michele. We also checked screen resolution on both laptops. Any suggestions?
Thank you, Sandy I still have the issue on Pedigree View after all the suggestions. But - I did load Legacy 8 with the latest update, on my work laptop. Installed my file and did the file cleanup as per instructions. Everything works perfectly on the second laptop. Went back to my personal laptop and uninstalled Legacy 8, Clooz, and Gensmarts. Created a clean GEDCOM file from Family Tree Maker 2014. Disconnected my hub, second monitor. Ran a full C drive scan and ran Malware software. Shut down and then restarted my laptop and installed Legacy 8, downloaded and installed the update and imported my new GEDCOM file. And saw the same pedigree view issue starting in the same place! Both laptops are Toshiba - personal is C series, work is S series. Both run Windows 7 Home Premium. Both have the same printer drivers and software. Both run windows office. In fact both laptops are nearly identical except for my genealogy programs, iTunes, and Quilt software programs. I don't know what to do now. I would rather run Legacy on my personal laptop. I think that you are right in thinking that something on my personal laptop is conflicting with Legacy 8. When I open the database to myself, then select the pedigree tab it correctly displays my pedigree in 4 generations. If I click from 4 to 5 generations it correctly displays my pedigree. Now when I select Reports Menu, then select Pedigree, then select 4 generations per page, then 4 Generations and select preview it shows the pedigree correctly. Now if I close this and select 5 generations and preview the names are not shown connected to the right people. Has anyone seen this?
