I'm having challenges adding parents to people. APPARENTLY it matters whether I use Add/add mother, Add/add spouse, or simply click in correct empty box.
I find the death record for X; it gives his parents. If I click on the father's box, sometimes the data-entry screen appears but sometimes the ADD/Link dialogue appears. Whichever way I do it, when I try to add the mother, it creates a 2nd marriage for the father. Often it also disassociates X from the father. I've ended up with as many as 11 children, 5 attached to the father one per marriage, 5 attached to the mother one per marriage, and 1 attached to the couple. Yes, I can /fix/ it (either by merging or by unlinking/relinking) but it ought to not-necessary to fix it. I'm running .385 deluxe on a win 7-32bit. This challenge also occurs om 7.5 basic.
