It appears that the only “Titles” I have left as facts are the ones with the
tag name “Style.”

I must have created that.

And it appears that every Title tag I had pre-import has now been converted
into an individual custom tag. Rather than just a simply populated Title tag.

Subject: [LegacyUG] I want a TAG to pick from, not everything the system
believes is an event for 30,000 people

Just picked up Legacy 8. (Upgraded from TMG4-8, then FH5, then RM6.)

So maybe I’m doing something wrong.

Let’s say I want to add a census entry for an individual.

I open his Individual’s Information window, and then under Events/Facts, I
click on Add.

I’m presented with a Add Event to … window.

I use the blue drop down to select from what I’m assuming will be gedcom tags.
(I.e. Event, Census, Military, Will, etc.)

What I get, however, is a list, which not only includes the gedcom tags I’m
expecting, like Will, it appears to include every event entry I’ve ever made in
my years of genealogy.

I note that most of these “Events” I can select are in fact what I’d entered as
Titles. I.e. “Tsar of West Bulgaria” or Subking of Mercia.

It reads Event Definition (3104) and I can easily believe I’m seeing 3,104
entries. My titles (Archbishop of Reims) + tags I created previously (Arms) +
gedcom standard (Will) ones.

It took entries of a Title tag, a perfectly legit gedcom tag, and turned it
into its own tag.

How am I to fix this?
