This might help: Go to > the son's Individual's screen > see the down arrow beside the surname> this brings up a list of all surnames in your Legacy program> here you can globally change any surname(s) and/or merge surnames. By holding down the shift key you can merge many surnames into one.
Anne I'm stuck on how to do a mass replace for a family name .... at one point a son changed the spelling of his surname from that of his parents.
