First, Legacy stores events in several places.  Otherwise you could query just
an events table.  But Birth, Christening, Death, Burial, and Marriage are not
stored in the events table unless you have intentionally created those events
in addition to the ones that show on screen.  That makes finding all the event
dates and places a little more difficult but not impossible.

Lets start with just the built-in Birth event which is stored in the Individual
record.  Use Search>Detailed Search> and these parameters:
Primary Condition
Look for whom? Individual
Where to look Birth Date
How to look Contains
What to look for 1930
Second Condition
And
Look for whom? Individual
Where to look Birth Place
How to look Contains
What to look for Texas

Click on the "Clear List before this search" radio button, then click "Create
List".  The top bar of the Search (results) List will show how many individuals
were found.

Click on the "Options" button, then click "Advanced Tagging", then set radio
button "Untag" and "Make changes on #" to 1.  Click "Everyone" to clear that
tag.  Answer "Yes".

Set radio button "Tag" and "Make changes on #" to 1.  Click "Everyone in Search
List" to set tag1 for the individuals in the search results.  Click "Close"
twice.

You now have tag1 set for everyone in the database that was born in 1930 and
has Texas somewhere in the Birth Place location field.  To get other events,
follow the same sequence.  To find events in the events table, use "Event-Date"
and "Event-Place" in the search parameters.  For marriages, change Look for
whom? to "Marriage".  You can set a different tag for each type of search or
use the "Add results to existing List" radio button to combine all of the
searches into one results list and tag the whole thing.
