Re your first question about editing source details for someone/lots of people/lots of places.
I do this by using the Search and Replace on Source Detail (or Source Detail Text or which ever part of the citation needs correcting or adding to) Much quicker for a lot of editing than using the source clipboard to add the correct source and then remove the incorrect - though I do that as well in other circumstances - usually when I'm changing from a Basic to a SourceWriter source or fixing my poor attempts at sourcing from years and years back. You need to choose a search part that is unique to the actual citation you are needing to change OR be prepared to use Replace rather than Replace All and go through one by one. In the Search and Replace Find Where list - Source is the Master Source; Citation is the Source Detail section - then find the element you are wanting to change. Make sure you check "replace only found text with replacement text" . I use in the How to Find section "anywhere in field" Re your second question - what's wrong with the Census List search? That question is for those who have given you detailed search criteria. That's what the Census List search is designed for - to find people alive at a certain time in a certain place. You don't have to be finding people for the purposes of looking them up in a census though if you are it has some more information for you depending on what options you choose.
