The internal Legacy browser does use a form of IE.

Internet stuff from Legacy that opens in the actual browser uses your
default browser or whatever you specify in the Options 11.1

However Legacy Home Tab and the mapping use a form of IE - not sure
which. I suspect on one computer you removed a file or registry entry of
IE that you didn't remove on the other computer.

I find it better to leave the installation of IE alone though I rarely
use it.
I note that it has been patched already for the latest security problem.
