Supposedly I have an 18th century Indian ancestress and somebody on the
internet has come up with her father, who is said to be "Netawatwees a
chief of Delaware Indians."

So would you put "Netawatwees" in the given name or surname space?

Then they've got his father as "Chief Unami, Delaware tribe Lenape Nation
Nutimus."

How would you handle this?

Thanks,
Pat
