It's too bad we are not allowed to send screen shot images with our emails here. I'm just now looking in at this thread, but suspect that a screen image showing the problem might have brought a better response to your inquiry.
One of the problems I had recently with Legacy v8 was using it with a new Windows 7 system. Things didn't display or act as expected, and the problem didn't go away until I changed my display settings to comply with a more basic desktop scheme. I'm finding out now that there are or can be many unexpected complications when running a 32 bit program on a 64 bit system. It appears, for one example, that the Intel and nVidia hardware drivers that came with my new system have been interfering with the smooth operation of Legacy features. In the msconfig.exe startup tab, there was a long list of Intel and nVidia programs that were introduced when the hardware drivers were installed. I unchecked them all, and after that, my Legacy operations were much more snappy. I guess I'm suggesting that the Legacy software might not be the place to look, for an answer to the problem you have been trying to describe. I hope, in any case, you have good luck in your quest.
