Are you sure that you are opening the NEW copy of the files that are updated to
version 8?

Thanks,

Subject: [LegacyUG] need help switching files/fdb

Hello,

I've been using Legacy 7 for years and now have version 8.

I have two separate files on Legacy, let's say FamilyA.fdb and FamilyB.fdb.
They are completely separate. The problem I'm having is this. When I am working
on one family and want to switch over to work on the other family, I have to
re-load the fdb all over again, losing any data I had entered into the first
file!

When I used version 7, all I had to do was click on the link in the upper
left-hand corner that said "File" and there would be a list of the databases I
had in the program. I would click on the name of whichever fdb I wanted to go
to and it would take me there. Now, if I do that, as stated above, I have to
reload the one I want to use, losing any information previously entered.

I hope this is clear enough so someone can help me with this!

Thanks,

Deb
