Another method that, if it works, will be faster:
* Click on the big L in the top left corner (If I remember right, this
is slightly different if you have picked a different color scheme).
* You should see a new dialog box pop up with 2 columns. The right
column will contain RECENT FAMILY FILES
* Look at each file in the list. It will probably be the 2nd(?) one
(first one will be the one you opened below withOUT the changes).
    Unfortunately this list does not show the DATE MODIFIED - you just
have to go by name & location
* Once you have the correct file opened, make a note of WHERE it is
being saved and what its name is.
* Click on OPTIONS, then CUSTOMIZE
* In section 1.2, make which ever selection works best for you
(concerning which file to open when you start up Legacy)

Another option:
* Click on the big L in the top left corner (If I remember right, this
is slightly different if you have picked a different color scheme).
* Click OPEN FAMILY FILE
* Pick the "Select the file using the Windows dialog box" if you think
you know where the file is. You can change your view to DETAILED MODE
(if it doesn't default to that) and look at the DATE MODIFIED column.
    or
* Pick the "Have Legacy create a list of files to choose from" if you
are not sure where it is stored
* NOTE - if you do not see a dialog box offering these 2 choices, see below
* Legacy will scan your drive (I'm not sure if this scans your ENTIRE
drive, or just certain locations. Looks like it scans all locations on
all drives, but I can't promise. Check HELP and/or w Legacy if in
doubt. It can take a while for the scan to complete, so be patient)
* Look through the list to find the file. Unfortunately this list only
shows location and name - it does not show date of last change.

If you don't see 2 choices on the FILE OPEN box, do this:
* Options
* Customize
* 12 Other Settings
* Scroll to the bottom (section 12.5), click the big button labeled
"Turn on or off Optional Reminder Messages"
* Select the MESSAGES tab
* At the bottom of this tab, select "Give me a choice of how to select
the file"

Good luck.
