Hi Brian, I suppose what I was referring to was as a 'blank" was the place holder. I've used media re-linker and have now transferred all the linked files into the Legacy media file. From my prior software I had no videos, lots of text documents for which some transferred and some did not. Most went to the wrong event but some did not. There was one audio file, a favorite song of my wife who died a few years ago and was very important to me. I am presently, well until the copy/paste feature "broke" as reported to me, moving media files to the proper events. In the process I am creating a new media file for those that did not link to Legacy and uploading the new file to Legacy. There were about 2,700 media files of which I've been through about 1,400 and fixed where necessary. Still a ways to go and it would really help if the media "copy/paste" feature in Legacy was working. I've been using Legacy about a couple months or so now, like it, but 95% of my time thus far has been for "repairs". Best regards, Bill

Were the "lost" pictures attached to something in the original program where Legacy does not allow pictures? We allow pictures/media to be linked to many things but there may well be a program out there that attaches media to something we do not. I have no idea what you mean by "blank file blocking viewing primary media" Legacy will use a place holder image of a Question mark when it cannot find an image file in the location it is expecting the file, is that what you meant by a blank file? It also uses place holder images to represent media which are not image files such as Documents, Sounds and Videos. Legacy 8 includes a much improved Media Re-linker which will search your entire computer for missing files. If it finds only one copy it will automatically revise the file link to point to that found file. If it finds multiple files with the same name it will let you choose which file location is the correct version of the file.
