Hi Jan, You may consider using the Legacy 8 default for Media ...Jan\My Docs\Legacy Family Tree\Media as your base folder. It doesn't matter so long as you tell Legacy 8 at Options > Customise 6.2 that this is your parent media folder.
I'm a little bothered by the length of the paths you are suggesting. Someone else may comment on that. I know I've had problems when helping a friend save things to CD/DVD because of her extremely long paths. Do the documents really have to be separated into town folders? My friend has developed lots of folders and most only have one or two files in them and are unlikely to have any or many more. She's always finding it difficult to find things though she made all the folders to make it easy. Re moving the folders - this is a basic windows task of making a new folder and moving other folders into it. Anyone familiar with computers will lives near you or visits could help with this or do it for you in a few minutes. You don't do this within Legacy. So long as you don't change the picture and document names then Legacy 8 will find them wherever you move them to. Use Tools > Media Relinker. If it finds multiple copies of a picture or document, check carefully that you are telling it to use the one in the right place. Get back to the list if you have particular problems.
