Thanks very much, Sherry. It is now in C:\Legacy\Data, however, how do I load it back into my family file? Have tried right-click, open with Legacy Family Tree and nothing happens. Also, went to the old family file and tried File>Restore. Again, nothing.

Panic took over and I think I deleted the mother. All my work and a whole family is gone. After a long think, decided that I would open a new family file and upload yesterday's backup to it. The backup is compressed in WinRar and I have fiddled around with it, but failed to load it. I have created a new family file (empty) with a new name, but cannot get yesterday's backup into it. Have tried, but WinRar keeps popping up. Would someone please help me - I am desperate.
